Package: initscripts

Followup-For: Bug #464869

Same error messages here. Is anything broken by this difficulty? If so,
is there a work around?

I had a bunch of other errors on installation, with many like this:
/usr/lib/ruby/1.8/dhelp.rb:21:in `require': no such file to load -- bdb
(LoadError)
        from /usr/lib/ruby/1.8/dhelp.rb:21
        from /usr/sbin/dhelp_parse:27:in `require'
        from /usr/sbin/dhelp_parse:27
scrollkeeper-update: deferring update until scrollkeeper is configured

Also popular

dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of gimp:
 gimp depends on libhal1 (>= 0.5.10); however:
Package libhal1 is not configured yet.
dpkg: error processing gimp (--configure):
 dependency problems - leaving unconfigured
: deferring update until scrollkeeper is configured

The latter left gimp unconfigured.

As I said, I don't know if the current bug has anything to do with those
problems.
