Sorry about the delay. I was actually working on adjtimex, when my computer died. Now I have a spiffy new motherboard, CPU, RAM, case, and power supply. But the same disks, including the adjtimex sources.
Alain - Before my computer died, I was working along the same general lines of further separating the /dev/rtc and I/O port access code. However, you have made more progress. Thank you very much! I have incorporated all three of your patches, made a few other changes, and released version 1.24. (Hmm. I now see that "adjtimex --version" still reports 1.23. I'll fix that the next time around.) Klaus - does this version work for you? In the mean time I am working on another problem, which I've registered as bug #474337. I plan to use select() to eliminate the hang, then fall back to port I/O. - Jim Van Zandt -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
