As I said in my second response, I think I pinpointed the problem.
What must be corrected is dep from gnokii on gnokii-common, which wasn't
versioned as it should have been and caused the problem of having an old
gnokii-common version.
With this fixed an "apt-get install gnokii-common" should never be
needed, but rather just "apt-get install gnokii", which will fetch all
the right versions.

This dependency you mentioned must be on the exact version, or else you
could end up with a changelog for a different version than what you have
installed, for instance.
