BTW, for completeness, the following option : CONFIG_TUNE_CELL Is interesteing since the cell ppc core is not able to do opcode dynamic scheduling, or whatever it is called, and thus there is a performance hit by not enableing it. Enabling this option slows down the other powerpc64 cpus though, so it can't be enabled by default. But even without it we should have a kernel who boots on the PS3, which is more already than what we have currently.
