Package: octave3.0-info Version: 1:3.0.1-4 Severity: normal This is really a reopening of bug #456636, which is archived. Not sure if it should really be filed against octave2.1-info.
Sorry for the nuisance, I thought we had fixed this bug, but I'm experiencing it again. I've moved to a new machine, upgraded it from etch to testing to sid. And once again, "info octave" is delivering the man page instead of the info page. Last time you determined the bug was in the octave2.1-info package, with the fix marked in 1:2.1.73-14. So I purged octave3.0-info and installed octave2.1-info (1:2.1.73-19) to make sure that part of the system was updated. Note that while octave2.1-info is installed, the problem is still present with "info octave" going to the man page. I then removed octave2.1-info and installed octave3.0-info (1:3.0.1-4), but the problem is still there. Same if I purge octave2.1-info instead of removing it. Looks like something's still wrong after all. Was there with the fix put into octave2.1-info? This will affect upgrades from etch once lenny is released. Sorry for the bad news!
