Thanks for the suggestion.

Regarding 1) the package mentions the need for migration in the NEWS 
file, which I believe is the standard way to coomunicate things like 
this.  It is generally a good idea to install apt-listchanges to be 
notified about such NEWS entries.

Regarding 2) we should probably extend that news entry to explicitly 
mention the need to also manually update underlay.

Perhaps even add a warning about updating underlay to the 
moin-mass-migrate script.
