Well, this bug is already reported upstream as http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1657421&group_id=10894&atid=110894 The extra CR is issued because tclsh sets end-of-line translation for stdout and stderr channeld to crlf (effectively adding CR).
