On my machine:
jar tvf /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-openjdk/jre/lib/ext/dnsns.jar | grep
"META-INF/$"
Result is:
0 Mon Oct 06 09:15:54 CEST 2008 META-INF/
0 Mon Oct 06 09:15:54 CEST 2008 META-INF/
This prevents scala to compile using openjdk-6.
