Hi Michelle,
we need more info for this bug.
First of all, the bug is unreproducible on my mutt (1.5.18-4), I've
created an empty .muttrc with the following options:
---
set folder=imaps://[...]
set spoolfile=imaps://[...]
set mark_old=no
---
In this case the old flag is not displayed and the messages are still
unread (N[ew]).
Some questions:
*) Does this happen when you open mutt or only when you switch mailbox?
*) Are your messages shown as Old when you go back to the previous
mailbox even if mark_old is set to no?
Please attach your .muttrc.
By default mark_old is set to yes, so I'll downgrade the severity to
'normal', but don't worry your bug will be worked as the others.
