Package: courier-imap-ssl Version: 4.4.0-2 Severity: important
We are using courier imap, allowing tls but not requiring it. The relevant excerpts from /etc/courier/imaps-ssl: IMAPDSSLSTART=NO IMAPDSTARTTLS=YES IMAP_TLS_REQUIRED=NO Accessing imap without tls is not a problem. Accessing imap with forced tls throws the following errorreport in /var/log/mail.log: Feb 27 22:26:09 <hostname> imapd-ssl: /usr/lib/courier/courier/imaplogin: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/courier/courier/imaplogin: undefined symbol: auth_sasl_ex The same applies with IMAPDSSLSTART=YES and forced ssl connection on port 993 Since /usr/lib/courier/courier/imaplogin is provided by courier-imap and there might be a connection with the saslauth, here some additional version numbers: courier-imap: 4.4.0-2 sasl2-bin: 2.1.22.dfsg1-23 -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-5-686 Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
