Slashdot.org itself still runs on Apache 1.3. There were no official stable Slash releases since years either and the ML is very low traffic. I may start packaging again, if they support Apache 2.2 officially or I find a maintainable way to get Apache 2.2 support, but for now a removal seems to be the best way.
