Given that Chris is indeed 'industrialising' his process it mau indeed better to coordinate with, say, Detlef Steuer for the German translations. I really don't add much value standing in the middle. Chris: Please send an email describing what you already did and plan to do to Detlef (at HSU in Hamburg: [email protected]). This may also give you a second set of eyes for the translations themselves. If you want, feel free to still send copies to the Debian BTS if you want this logged. I can then close this on uploads as I notice the translations. Brian: Re the bug reporting and contributed packages. I think it is not clear whether 'R Recommended' packages like the VR bundle, lattice, nlme, boot, ... are contributed or core. Given the prominent distribution with R itself, most people probably consider them core. Moreover, some even list R Core as maintainer / author. If the manual meant to say 'all package bugs' I suggest changing this. Or did you mean to suggest to use the main R bugs address for these packages instead ?
