Celejar (CCed) reported that the issue is still present in 1.5.9-5. Would you please both tell me if it occurs with 1.6.1-3?
Yes, 1.6.1-3 (sid/unstable) is the version that broke my system, so I downgroaded to 1.5.9-5 (squeeze/testing) and with this version all works fine.
