Package: sensors-applet
Version: 2.2.3-2
Severity: normal

Hi,

The sensors applet is not very useful in a vertical gnome panel.

Compare the two attached screenshots (the upper right corner of my desktop):

horizontal.png: in a horizontal panel, you can see two sensor icons and their
readings.

vertical.png: the applet tries to layout the icons and text vertically, but
since the panel is rather narrow (24p, standard size), not much is visible.
Compare this with the battery status applet, which changes the text direction
when put in a vertical panel.

Using vertical panels help reclaim precious desktop space on netbooks' small
screens, for example 9" EeePC has 1024x600 screen size.

Thanks!
