I suspect a combination of things, and udev, util-linux, tzdata or initscripts are probably the source of your problem. Can you provide the output from these commands: ls -ld /etc/localtime /dev/.udev grep ^UTC /etc/default/rcS ls /etc/rcS.d df -hP The problem will happen when HW clock is not on UTC and /usr/ is a separate partition from /. > Now, I don't remember ever having seen this problem, so I assume that it > surfaced with the new uploads.
