Package: dpkg-dev Version: 1.15.3.1 I'm configuring xine-vdpau with the --without-caca argument. During a manual 'make && sudo make install' there is no problem. However, when using debuild to create a debian package, I get:
dpkg-checkbuilddeps: Unmet build dependencies: libcaca-dev debuild: fatal error at line 1288: I addressed this with the xine-vdpau maintainers and after looking into it they said the problem was with the tools used to build the debian package. I'm using kernel 2.6.30.5 and libc6 2.9-25. The xine-vdpau subversion tree is available at: svn://jusst.de/xine-vdpau Please let me know if any other information is needed.
