A workaround is to set
$this->broken_tls = true;
in line 321 in
/usr/share/squirrelmail/plugins/avelsieve/include/managesieve.lib.php
This is of course not a fix. I'm working on a proper one.

Yes, unfortunately. The only good thing out of that is that I figured
out a bug in a later version by debugging this one.
