Hi,

Thanks for the idea.

Somehow I'm not really sure about this.

First of all, the files in /usr/share/etherboot are currently gzipped?
Can qemu and kvm use them, or do the system administrator has to ungzip
them before?

Why the images for kvm/qemu, why not for vmware/virtualbox/whatnot?

What is the problem with depending on the whole package? Too big?
32Mb? Is it too big on a system, where you run virtual machines with
kvm (which only runs on a recent hardware)?

And if the answer is still go ahead, then why not the all-in-one.iso.gz,
which is 1Mb and has all major network cards, so probably can be used
with all of the virtualization products?

I'm open to discussion, but not sure about creating another binary
package in the archive. Nowadays everyone is switching to some pxe
solution anyway, instead of using etherboot... Can't kvm/qemu can just
boot with pxe as if pxe support would have been built into the virtual
hardware?
