Replacing the EMail address for all subscribed mailing lists should be a single database operation with a user-friendly, web interface, and maybe with a confirmation dialog via EMail. This works very well for other mailing lists, e.g. the lists on vger.kernel.org or for the OpenBSD mailing lists.
