Package: octave3.2-headers Version: 3.2.4-3 Severity: normal Tags: sid When upgrading blas to version 1.2-6, mkoctfile no longer works: the linker cannot find -lblas-3gf.
The reason is that latest version of blas introduces a change in the way of dealing with alternative implementations of BLAS. In particular, the symlink /usr/lib/libblas-3gf.a has disappeared. Note that, when upgrading blas package, this symlink is not destroyed because of a bug in blas package [1]. But on fresh installations (and therefore on build daemons), the libblas-3gf.a symlink is not there. I guess the solution is to rebuild the packages for Octave 3.2 on sid.
