Package: qemu Version: 0.12.3+dfsg-4 Severity: normal Hi,
I've created a 30GB disk image with qemu-img using qcow2 format, and I was able to install windows XP on that image using an ISO image (via libvirt). However when booting again the image I get a "Disk read error" from seabios, either by launching with virsh or manually with qemu. I'm able to boot on a Windows installation CDROM, and to access the repair console, run chkdsk, so the disk image is there and alive. Mayby this is a seabios issue, I'm not sure. Additional information: * seabios version: 0.5.1-2 * command used to launch the image: qemu -net user -net nic -smb /tmp -m 512 -hda /opt/kvm/xp_sp3_py26.img -usbdevice tablet -k fr -cdrom /opt/MSDN/fr_windows_xp_professional_n_with_service_pack_3_x86_cd_x14-92440.iso -boot menu=on Any help welcome. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable'), (70, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-trunk-686 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages qemu depends on: ii qemu-system 0.12.3+dfsg-4 QEMU full system emulation binarie ii qemu-user 0.12.3+dfsg-4 QEMU user mode emulation binaries ii qemu-utils 0.12.3+dfsg-4 QEMU utilities qemu recommends no packages.
