I have one box with a KT 266 A chipset (the machine dates back to 2001) and 512 MB RAM. On this box, memtest86 doesn't run with the "too small lower memory" error, while memtest86+ does run, but only sees 640 _K_ and reports thousands of errors on these 640K of memory.
