Package: doc-rfc Version: 20100731-1 Severity: wishlist
Hi. I know this is rather difficult... ;) It would be nice, if the doc-rfc-* packages provide the packages of their respective RFCs. This is of course rather difficult, as one cannot easily download them in a plain text format as the RFCs themselves (at least I don't know such a way). In addition to just providing those files (which would have to be regularly checked for updates) it would be nice, if one could easily see, whether an errata exists. Maybe the following would be an idea: In the /u/s/d/RFC dir: - add a new ./errata/ dir which contains the errata files (e.g. in the form ./errata/rfcxxxx.txt). - in the other dirs (e.g. links/, standard/, proposed-standard, etc.) add a symbolic link in the form "rfcXXXX.errata.txt" for each RFC, where an errata exists. By that one would easily see whether an errata is avaiable or not. Cheers, Chris. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [email protected]
