Package: subversion Version: 1.5.1dfsg1-5 Severity: normal When mod_svn is used, it will run with the "C" locale, since the startup script for apache2 sets it like that.
commit-email.pl uses two locale-dependent things: - svnlook will recode commit messages to the locale-specific standard character encoding - strftime will create a "Date:" header line for the commit message. Whilfe strftime works correctly only with the "C" locale, the commit message may contain language-specific characters and not only ascii. So svnlook should be called with the system locale which is more likely to be correct. The Date: header line should be created in a locale-independent way. -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0.6 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-2-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: lang=de_de.ut...@euro, lc_ctype=de_de.ut...@euro (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages subversion depends on: ii libapr1 1.2.12-5+lenny2 The Apache Portable Runtime Librar ii libc6 2.7-18lenny6 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libsasl2-2 2.1.22.dfsg1-23+lenny1 Cyrus SASL - authentication abstra ii libsvn1 1.5.1dfsg1-5 Shared libraries used by Subversio subversion recommends no packages.
