I can't help you much without a backtrace. You should get one from drkonqi 
once you install amarok-dbg (and kdelibs5-dbg if the former does not help).

Does it mean that you downgraded libavcodec52? Which version is it at now?


libavcodec52 trouble is the only I know of. But there might be more issues 
with packages from debian-multimedia.org so you should pin them down to 100 
priority.
