It's not clear to me what this means, given that you reported this bug
against version 3.0.14a-3 of the package (which is the version in
stable already, not testing).  Which was the previous version you had
installed, and which is the current version you were trying to install?

If you previously had a version of samba installed, it either was not in
a very clean state, or it was very old; "Generating /etc/default/samba"
normally happens only on new installs, and the TDBSAM conversion seems
to point to a problem with creation or migration of user data from
/etc/samba/smbpasswd, which also suggests an older version of samba or a
new install.  I haven't heard of anyone else having this problem on new
installs, so I wonder what's really happening on your system.
