Ah, I see. The point I'm making is that replacing dhcpd with dhcpcd5 broke a working system by replacing resolvconf with openresolv. I'd like to clarify whose bug that is: - openresolv's, by claiming to replace resolvconf? - dhcpd5's, by replacing resolvconf with openresolv? - apt's, which somehow interpreted dhcpcd5's recommendation as a license to replace resolvconf with openresolv? - dnsmasq's, because Simon is being CC'd and it will annoy him ;-) Since my system was broken, it's clearly a bug, so please let me know where I should reassign this report to. > If the default for dnsmasq + resolvconf on Debian is to write out to > that file, then we can patch the resolvconf.conf that ships with > openresolv to do just this.
