Dear Debian folks,
for some reason (maybe dependency changes in GNOME and HAL removal?)
`gnome-volume-manager` was removed from my system a long time ago(?) but
it is still configured.
$ aptitude search gnome-volume-manager
c gnome-volume-manager - GNOME daemon to auto-mount and
manage medi
That is all fine since packages are not purged by default. The only
problem is that the XDG desktop file is still present
$ dpkg -S gnome-volume-manager.desktop
gnome-volume-manager: /etc/xdg/autostart/gnome-volume-manager.desktop
$ ls /etc/xdg/autostart/gnome-volume-manager.desktop
/etc/xdg/autostart/gnome-volume-manager.desktop
causing `gnome-session` to throw a warning.
$ grep volume ~/.xsession-errors
gnome-session[2882]: WARNING: Could not launch application
'gnome-volume-manager.desktop': Unable to start application: Kindprozess
»/usr/lib/gnome-volume-manager/gnome-volume-manager« konnte nicht ausgeführt
werden (Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden)
This is because `gnome-session` tries to autostart `gnome-volume-manager` which
is of course not available anymore.
$ grep lib /etc/xdg/autostart/gnome-volume-manager.desktop
Exec=/usr/lib/gnome-volume-manager/gnome-volume-manager --sm-disable
So could the XDG desktop file also be removed when the package is removed?
