The original design is not to install NetworkManager to fix this, but to
enable the /etc/init.d/update-hostname script calling
/usr/bin/update-hostname-from-ip to update the hostname at boot time.
NetworkManager were not used because it would only enable network
connections when a user log in, and not at boot.

NetworkManager were only installed on standalone and roaming workstation
profiles in the original design.

Why isn't this design working any more?
