Thank you Michael, When I try to bring in gnome-tweak-tool with apt-get, it brings in a lot of gnome 3 packages as well, like gnome-shell (even though I've pinned gnome to 2.30). My sources.list points to wheezy but I tried adding in some snapshot.debian terms for August 2011, to no avail.
I would think this configuration item would exist in a text file under /etc. Is there a way to access it directly, without gnome-tweak-tool? Changing to gnome 3 is a big decision and I wouldn't want to do that just in order to solve this issue. thanks, --jack --- On Mon, 11/28/11, Michael Biebl <[email protected]> wrote: > From: Michael Biebl <[email protected]> > Subject: Re: Bug#648615: Latest update of nautilus in unstable has removed > everything from desktop > To: "JS" <[email protected]>, [email protected] > Date: Monday, November 28, 2011, 6:11 PM > On 28.11.2011 23:49, JS wrote: > > Thank you Josselin, > > > > Can you point me to somewhere that explains > how/whether I can restore > > the earlier behavior in this version of nautilus?
