Upon review, I've found some additional issues: - The automatically generated configuration file does not include any header, to warn users from editing the file - The new file does not get chowned' to user root and group 'snort' and is not made readable only to these. Since the configuration file includes database user's and passwords it should be protected and access to it should be restricted. I am going to make an upload fixing this issues too. Regards Javier
