When I run make mirrorcheck I get:
Failed to fetch
file:/mirror/debian/dists/potato/local/binary-i386/Packages
So I ran the above apt-ftparchive:
$ apt-ftparchive packages dists/stable/local/
>dists/stable/local/binary-386/Packages
Which rid of the first error however it gives me instead:

Why is my Packages file here 0 bytes? It's a complete file when I
ran apt-ftparchive.. My local files are nowhere to be seen.
Very confused.
