In the new universe (debbootstrap, tasksel, etc) where a user might
never run dselect, what makes sure that in the default configuration,
standard priority packages get installed?  I seem to be running into a
lot of systems I install that end up without ed or emacs20.  It's my
understanding that if I pick the defaults I really ought to end up
with these.
[I'm not interested in a flamewar about whether emacs20 should be standard; 
currently it is.]
