This is the best method, I think. IIRC, bug submitters don't receive an acknowledgment for bugs fixed in an NMU; they only receive them when closed by the maintainer. Consequently, they only get an acknowledgment that says something like * Acknowledge NMU (closes: xxx) which is not informative at all. I would much rather see the changelog entry made by the NMU-er. -- Poems... always a sign of pretentious inner turmoil.
