I'm guessing about half an hour. Didn't try it, though. But that is not a sulution; it would only get you halfway. You'd also need to ensure $stash is kept reasonably up-to-date (taking away valuable CPU time from buildd), which opens you up to the same problems you get in $chroot. Alternatively, one could do an apt-get upgrade inside the chroot after copying $stash; that will likely take a few hours (there's a reason why my m68k boxen are only slightly tracking unstable). The debootstrap itself is likely to take most of the day on an 68040 (which half our m68k buildd pool consists of); for reference, the last time I installed the 25Mhz 68040 that quickstep.nixsys.be is (which, BTW, is now the m68k experimental autobuilder), the installation process was started somewhere around friday, and we were able to connect it to wanna-build somewhere monday or tuesday (not exactly sure anymore). And yes, I /did/ log in during the weekend. -- EARTH smog | bricks AIR -- mud -- FIRE soda water | tequila WATER -- with thanks to fortune -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
