Yes, but that is not really relevant since the sync process works by 'faking' a .changes file featuring the sync target (e.g. 'intrepid' instead of 'unstable') and introduces the X-Launchpad-Closes-Bugs fields in addition to the Debian-Closes-Bugs fields.
