Not every RC bug fixing means an upload from that developer. And not all work in trying to help RC bug fixing is actually sucessfull. I can only say that I usually have a much lower upload frequency while freeze, which with one specific package less might even be a total stall while most past freeze times. And I would not call myself "lost" due to that. A freeze is a significantly different phase, especially as my upstream development is usually heavily synced to Debian development, but if I am annoyed at something in that phase, then it is about people whining that they are not allowed to ignore or even sabotage the release process.
