BTW you could make the script even simpler (well shorter anyway ;-), and slighlty safer: #!/bin/sh cat - /etc/cron.d/* <<EOF > /etc/crontab.tmp && mv /etc/crontab.tmp /etc/crontab # DO NOT EDIT THIS FILE.
