Package: dpkg Version: 1.10.18 Severity: normal While running dpkg --configure, I cannot choose any of the options:

The default action is to keep your current version.

dpkg does not react to any keyboard input. My input is visible on the
screen, but after pressing Return, dpkg does not react. Ctrl-D does
not work, either. I can only do Ctrl-C to kill dpkg:

subprocess post-installation script killed by signal (Interrupt)
Errors were encountered while processing:
mailman
This happens both in under X (remote Eterm) and on a virtual console
(remote access via SSH).
