This crashes for me in the same way on GCC-4.6.3(-12), but using
GCC-4.7.2(-2) works fine. Whatever the issue is, it is definitely fixed in
GCC 4.7.2 at least. Unfortunately, I think ia64 will be using gcc 4.6.x for
a while and I think it's still the default for wheezy. After I get gdb
working locally again, I'll see if I can get some upstream help from the
gcc maintainers on this one.
