Yeah, I've never found the OUTPUT_FORMAT line to be all that important
either.

I looked at output-format.sed to try to understand what it was doing,
but all that sed stuff makes me go cross-eyed.

I imagine that turning off support for big-endian in our build of ld
will make the problem go away.  AFAIK, nobody is using it anyway.  Are
there any other architectures in Debian that have bi-endian toolchains?
