Yes, that would be OK, at least for me. It is a problem in po4a that the usual "translator credits" placeholder is not available for this kind of support. (Such placeholders would be retained in the English version.) I'm not sure what po4a can really do about this though - the actual implementation of "translator credits" is within the GTK code, not gettext or similar. (Not sure what happens in KDE.) Command line programs also have no implicit "translator credits" placeholder support but, as the next question shows, there does need to be support in po4a for marking some strings as "not to be translated" simply because the assumption in C programming is that strings explicitly have to be marked for translation whereas po4a assumes that all strings are already marked. If po4a was to implement the same behaviour in a C program, (or indeed even lots of perl or POSIX scripts), the program would inevitably fail. A definite "not_translated" placeholder is needed, rather than simply assume that certain tags (like legalnotice) should be ignored, as well as some way to handle "translator credits" type support. I wouldn't want the translated content to become legally dubious or unprotected by the GPL. It's early days and po4a does need some way to handle issues like this. If you fancy filing the bug reports, feel free. Otherwise, I will do so once I receive the translation and have a chance to test the rest of po4a mechanisms.
