What is supposed to happen automatically in a perfect 2.6.12 world and what do I have to set up myself? had I somewhat managed to figure out what to do in 2.4 but I am confused with my switch to 2.6.12 as to what documentation I should consult: apparently, not cardmgr, but hotplug (which was desintalled by udev) or udev?
