I am looking for a sponsor for the package 'tnef'. This is a great little program for unpacking those winmail.dat attachments that some of your friends insist on sending you. tnef has been in the Debian Archives since December 2000 and was recently put up for adoption. Since I use it and have too many friends that continue to send me winmail.dat attachments, I'd like to see it remain in Debian.
The package is lintian/linda clean and builds cleanly in pbuilder-sid. Thank you in advance for reviewing this package and possibly sponsoring it. Package name: tnef Version: 1.4-1 Upstream author: Mark Simpson <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> URL: http://tnef.sourceforge.net/ License: GPL Description: TNEF is a program for unpacking MIME attachments of type "application/ms-tnef". This is a Microsoft only attachment. Due to the proliferation of Microsoft Outlook and Exchange mail servers, more and more mail is encapsulated into this format. The TNEF program allows one to unpack the attachments which were encapsulated into the TNEF attachment. Thus alleviating the need to use Microsoft Outlook to view the attachment.
