I had planned on -dev-gui. (To match to current -core vs. -core-nogui etc.) Strictly speaking gengal.bin is not a GUI tool anyway, it seems though it's just happens to be linked with GUI libs/glx functions. Thinking about this now actually, maybe it suffices to use a --disable-gui version of gengal.bin for -dev here... Will try.. But then we still would need it for ui-previewer... Though I am actually not sure this is used anywhere except for "core" LibreOffice development.... > in the future. Postponing to 7 (or any other reason to go through NEW) > is fine. OK, already done for the 7.0 packages: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=952347#29 If the above hack will work, one might be able to revert that :-) > > Or Recommends: libreoffice-core, though that probably wouldn't be honoured > > by sbuild.... > Yep, Recommends is not sufficient. > > Since you already have a gengal wrapper script, you could check for > libreoffice-core being installed and error out with "please install > libreoffice-core instead of libreoffice-core-nogui to use this tool" > instead of failing with a weird missing symbol. Which wouldn't really help here as stuff will still "FTBFS" if they only used -core-nogui, but yeah, one can add this nevertheless. Regards, Rene
