Yeah, ok, this is an issue, but I think it's one we should try to solve, rather than using it as an excuse for overly rigid policies. For that matter, what about menu hints? Do we have translations for all of the various hints that different packages use? > and may even break KDE(?). If unexpected menu sections break KDE, then KDE has a nasty bug! Remember, users can define their own menu entries for locally installed software, and can create their own sections. I, for example, have "/Hosts" for machines I log into on a regular basis. (Of course, I've long thought that KDE's method of handling Debian's menu system was badly broken. I complained once, but since I don't use KDE, I never made a big deal about it. I don't even know if my complaint is still valid.) Anyway, that's enough for one post. I'll discuss the Benevolent Dictator idea later, once I've had more coffee and time to think. cheers -- Chris Waters | Pneumonoultra- osis is too long [EMAIL PROTECTED] | microscopicsilico- to fit into a single or [EMAIL PROTECTED] | volcaniconi- standalone haiku
