Subject: Can not copy and paste from Nedit to gnome-terminal

Package: nedit
Version: 5.2-1.1 Debian package

I can not copy and paste text from nedit to gnome-terminal. Select text/press
middle mouse button, Ctrl+C/Ctrl+V, Ctrl-Ins/Shift-Ins, Menu-Copy/Menu-Paste -
neither of these work.
The copy and paste works fine in the reverse direction i.e.
gnome-terminal->nedit. I tried other applications such as xterm, netscape - the
operation works fine with any other combination of source and destination.

My system configuration:
 Linux 2.2.20-idepci
 libc-2.2.5.so
 Gnome Terminal 1.4.0.6
 sawfish-gnome 1.0.1.20020116
 xfree86 4.1.0-16
