Well, thank you very much for your insights about how to run a project
with thousands of contributors and tens of thousands of software
packages. We surely lack that knowledge, and it's actually a miracle how
we managed to get 18 stable releases out of that door in 32 years of
existence without your wise thoughts.
Also, I bet that the KDE people will meet your advice with an equal
amount of joy. This will also help them to produce high quality
software.
And I personally thank you for the kind words you sent to me in private
in response to the other recent e-mail I sent to this mailing list. You
sent those private kind words about half an hour after your public
reply, and they were so carefully crafted, personally thought out that
they filled my entire day with joy about being a Debian Developer and
having the honor to serve you with high quality software, a job we
surely have failed by not assigning a volunteer to herd and pet your
loved software package.
