i've uploaded a new version of cacti (0.8.6c-8) which fixes this
problem, and also addresses a couple other issues.
the biggest of these other issues is that cacti was still using its own
version of the adodb php libraries. even though i reinstated the
dependency on libphp-adodb some time ago, i never removed the code or
pointed cacti at the correct location. this is fixed now, along with
some smaller bugfixes (as mentioned in the changelog).
as for mysql: christian and i are testing a better fix for the rc symlink
bug and should have something to upload in the next day or two.
