Dear release team, I have a disagreement with Thorsten Glaser about whether the bugs #1073608 (mksh should move aliased files to /usr) and #1073622 (pax should move aliased files to /usr) are bugs in the respective packages. I reopened the bugs once to raise their severity on August 6th as announced at https://lists.debian.org/20240610102931.ga2106...@subdivi.de with no responses (negative nor positive). Thorsten closed my bugs twice. Despite involvement of Russ Allbery and Chris Hofstaedler we were unable to resolve our disagreement. As the release team has the power to define rc-ness of bugs, I ask you to chime in as arbiter once. I note that if our proposed change #1074014 to the Debian policy that has received six seconds and one veto comes into effect, mksh and pax will violate Debian policy.
